 Bachelor of Environmental Management (BEnvMan) Natural Systems and Wildlife Special features

  • Qualifies graduates for membership of the Environment Institute of Australia and the Royal Australian Institute of Parks and Recreation
  • The emphasis placed on multi-disciplinary based problem solving
  • Students undertake a one semester industrial placement in the sixth semester of this full-time program. Go to Industrial Placement
  • Students undertake this three week tropical natural & rural systems tour (LPWM3003) which provides a practical context for examining principles of natural & rural systems developed in earlier semesters of formal coursework. Go to Northern Tour 2007
  • Suitably qualified students may undertake an honours program in the fourth year. This Requires that students undertake:
    1. A #4 Research Project
    2. The following courses:
      • ENVM3506 International & National Conservation Policy
      • ENVM3508 Public Sector Management & Conservation Planning
      • ENVM3522 Research, Development and Extension Methodologies
      • LPWM4001 Contemporary Case Studies

  • External students are required to undertake residential schools in some courses Go to Distance Education Centre
