Standard Assignment Format
All assignments must (unless otherwise specified by the lecturer):
- have an Assignment Cover Sheet, with all sections completed
(note particularly Statement of Original Authorship)
- be on A4 size paper
- pages should be numbered sequentially and be securely bound
(stapled or spiral bound).
- Pages should not be placed in individual plastic sleeves.
- be legible (but not necessarily typed)
- be written in concise, clear English
- have a left margin of at least 2.5cm. If printed back to back,
this margin is also required for the right margin.
- if typed, be in 1.5 -2 line spacing and in at least a 12 pt
font
- have a 2 line space between each paragraph
Maximum word limits may be specified for any assignment. Do not
exceed a specified word limit. Maximum word limits apply to the
text of the assignment, excluding captions, diagrams, appendices
and tables
Emailed assignments will not normally be accepted.
WebCT/Blackboard Assignments
Assignments required to be handed in via WebCT/Blackboard
MUST be in PC-based MS Office compatible formats.
MacIntosh documents are not acceptable.
For each assignment, the standard Assignment Cover Sheet must be
completed and uploaded with the assignment.
It is the students’ responsibility to be sure that they can
successfully upload their assignments into WebCT/Blackboard
